So, I obviously haven't posted to the blog in forever..but, Olivia Kate is here. She arrived on January 24, 2009 at 4:14 PM..weighing 6 pounds and 12 ounces and 19 inches long. And..she's perfect!

She's already been such a joy to Walker and I..and even though the sleep deprivation is hard, every day is fun. We both love seeing how she changes..now, she smiles! It's the cutest thing ever.

At her 5 week appointment, she weighed nine pounds, nine ounces and had grown two and a half inches. Everyone says that sounds like a lot since she's gained two and a half pounds in a month, but she's still only in the 50th percentile for everything. The doctor said she was thriving and even commented that she had remarkable head and leg strength for a five week old..he warned us that we were going to have a very early walker on our hands!

She's also really not that bad of a sleeper..she'll go for about 4-5 hours for the first stretch starting at about 8, followed by a couple 2-3 hour stretches...so, we really can't complain. I take her most nights until 5 AM..then, Walker takes over so I can get at least two hours of uninterrupted sleep.

This weekend, we took her to the beach for the first time and tried out the moby wrap..she LOVES it. Of course, she's still hates the carseat...screamed the entire time to the beach, and pretty much the whole way home..but as soon as she was put in the wrap, she was OUT. It was fun..
